Banksia Skateboards is the fusion of art, skateboarding and the incredible biodiversity found throughout Australia.
Founded by a skater working in the environmental industry as an ecologist, Banksia emerged from an obsession with skateboarding, a deep connection to the Aussie bush and a desire to share an appreciation for the natural world with others.
We collaborate with photographers around the country to showcase Australian biodiversity, creating truly unique skateboard graphics, printed on high quality maple wood, ready for the streets.
We aim to raise environmental consciousness and carry a strong ethos in giving back.
With every board sold, we donate trees to habitat restoration projects around the country, directly support the photographers documenting our natural world, and contribute to Traditional Custodian groups working to preserve Australian bushland.
We truly believe the more people learn about the environment and the incredible diversity of species that depend on it, the more compelled they feel to care — and to take meaningful action to ensure its future.
With this project, we hope to play a small role in the conservation of our native species whilst creating some amazing boards in the process.
Acknowledgement of Country
Banksia Skateboards acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the lands on which we operate and skate. We pay our respects to the Elders, past, present and emerging, whose deep knowledge and stewardship of Country have sustained Australia's extraordinary biodiversity for tens of thousands of years.
The Traditional Owners have been the true custodians of the species we celebrate on our boards—protecting and caring for the land, its wildlife, and ecosystems with an understanding that runs deeper than any of us can fully comprehend. Their connection to Country is inseparable from the health of the species we feature, and we are committed to supporting their ongoing work in land and wildlife conservation.
